- b.kinda coffee at Plympton Ridgeway is the pioneering face of a fresh concept in supporting St Luke’s work - a smart and eco-conscious coffee shop where all profits go towards the specialist end of life care we provide for local families._
- We’re looking for positive, friendly volunteers to work various shifts, Monday to Saturday, 8.30am to 4.30pm, alongside experienced staff and expert baristas._
- You’ll be helping to keep the coffee shop, serving areas and kitchen clean and tidy, clearing tables and cleaning floors, ensuring there’s a constant supply of fresh crockery, cutlery and glassware, and interacting with customers, with a lot of time spent on your feet. If you’re new to hospitality, this a great opportunity to learn the ropes and gain confidence. _

**St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth - Volunteering in Support Roles**

**Volunteer Coffee Shop Assistant**

**Reporting to: Coffee Shop Manager**

**Location: b.kinda coffee, St Stephen’s Place, Plympton**

**Overview of role requirements**:
To assist the coffee shop catering team on a voluntary basis by keeping the kitchen, service and front of house areas clean and tidy.

Duties could include clearing tables, loading and emptying an automatic dishwasher, carrying trays of crockery, glassware and cutlery, interacting courteously with the public, and setting up or packing away tables and chairs at the start and end of the day.

Various shifts on Mondays to Saturdays, 8.30am to 4.30pm

**Your role**

Clearing tables of used glassware, crockery and cutlery and preparing them for the automatic dishwasher
- Loading, using and unloading the dishwasher and keeping the area clean
- Replenishing clean glassware, crockery and cutlery into the service area
- Interacting with customers at their tables
- Wiping down tables between customers
- General cleaning of service and front of house areas

**Your qualities**
- A friendly and personable manner
- The ability to carry heavy trays of crockery, cutlery and glassware, and safely navigate front and back of house areas
- Good at following instructions as well as confidence in using your own initiative once trained
