**ROLE - Operations Manager Operations Lead**
**LOCATION - West Midlands**
We have partnered with a global organisation in the West Midlands area who are renowned for manufacturing high-quality, specialist parts and are hiring now for an Operations Manager / Operations Lead to join one of their divisions now on a permanent basis.
The Operations Manager will take ownership and responsibility of the day-to-day production, manufacturing and delivery operations, whilst also taking an active approach to department and staff development too. Joining a large manufacturing team, the OperationsManager will be getting involved immediately with a number of large-scale projects and initiatives.
**The Operations Manager / Operations Lead will be responsible for**:

- Finding & driving efficiency improvements within labour & machine efficiency, waste etc.
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, managing communication to ensure agreed targets and goals are met
- Assisting with team developments, upskilling talent into future leaders
- Promoting a positive and encouraging environment that supports change
- Maintaining industry and organisation compliance regulations
- Making sure key business targets are achieved, this includes Productivity, OEE, OTIF & Budget control

**The Operations Manager / Opertions Lead will ideally have the following skills/experience**:

- Experience driving LEAN
- Strong problem-solving skills with previous experience identifying and eliminating bottlenecks
- SIOP planning experience
- Previous experience in a similar role in the high-precision industry (automotive, aerospace, nuclear, defence, rail etc)
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification would be preferred nut not essential
- Experience managing large teams of direct & indirect reports
- Able to work autonomously whilst also driving engagement within the department
