Following 10 hugely successful years producing handmade artisan gelato & sorbet, desserts and pastries we have run out of space above our shop in Brighton’s North Laine. We are now very excited and delighted to be opening our new production kitchen which will allow us to move forward and grow the business. New and exciting opportunities lay ahead.

**POSITIONS WERE HIRING FOR **

**KITCHEN ASSISTANT - FULL TIME**

We have a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about food to join our Award Winning team at Gelato Gusto. We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and creative person who is interested in working in a kitchen environment. Kitchen production experience would be ideal but not essential. Training will be provided.

As well as assisting in day to day running of the kitchen and gelato production, you will be responsible for helping produce and package the gelato desserts and pastries to supply our gelaterias and wholesale customers.

**WHAT WE OFFER**
- 36 - 40 hours a week.
- Working sociable hours Monday’s - Friday’s between 08:00 & 18:00
- Countryside location.

**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- ‪Assisting the gelato chefs in the production of the gelato & sorbet & desserts.
- Ensuring the production kitchen is a clean, and safe place to work at all times.
- Working with precision and great attention to detail.
- Comply with all H&S policies and procedures and rectify or report hazards.
- The ability to work under pressure in the kitchen environment.
- Easy going and work well and calmly in stressful situations.
- ‪The ability to work as part of a team or on their own.
- ‪A friendly personality, being able to communicate well with others.
- Well organized and efficient.
- Impeccable time keeping.
- Good communication skills and speak fluent English.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel.
