Kitchen Assistant

We are a small family run business based in east wittering a stones throw away from the beach. We are passionate about food and serving top quality smashed burgers and loaded fries.
Alongside our busy takeaway business we also operate a catering company providing fine dining menus to an award winning vineyard in West Sussex.
This role would be varied assisting us in our shop and also helping out on events.
Chef responsibilities:
- Help lead and direct service and junior kitchen staff when the head chef is off.
- Ensure cleaning and health and safety is kept to a high standard
- complete paperwork such as fridge temperature checks and allergy info up to date
- Help with general prep work and quality control
- engage and communicate with customers in a positive manor
It is important that you can perform duties well under pressure and lead by example.
This position is a part time seasonal contract anywhere from 20-35 hours a week until the end of September but possible to extend for the right person.
You must be flexible with working hours.
kitchen experience is essential for this position and you must be reliable and able to commit over the summer season.
**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 7 months
**Salary**: Up to £12.50 per hour
