The Kitchen Assistant is one of Jungle Mania’s key roles within the business. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining our high standards within the kitchen environment, while promoting a happy yet safe atmosphere, and managing the day-to-day activities that the Tree Tops Café presents. Our Kitchen Assistants must be responsible and organised with a friendly approach to working with their team and customers. The Kitchen Assistant always abides by the company's policies and procedures, specifically Food Hygiene and Health and Safety

**The Kitchen Assistant responsibilities include**:

- To plan, prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Jungle Mania.
- To ensure that the company’s reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers.
- To provide a friendly, efficient and hygienic service to all customers.
- To follow Jungle Mania menu food specification and keep food wastage to a minimum.
- To ensure supplies are correctly received, issued, used and accounted for to carry out stock takes and food rotation procedures.
- To maintain records relating to food production activities as required by the General Manager including fridge and freezer temperature checks.
- To ensure Health and Safety and Food Safety Standards are maintained in line with company policy.
- To complete, on a monthly basis, a stock take and report to the General Manager.

**Schedule**:

- Mid-Week and Weekend availability
- Must be able to work 9am till 6pm
- Occasionally work till 8:30pm on Friday and Saturday for Exclusive Hires (Paid time and a half)

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £8.25-£11.45 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- CHICHESTER: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Kitchen experience: 1 year (preferred)
