The Permanent Division of Robert Half is currently recruiting a Financial Analyst on behalf of a Large Manufacturing business with offices in Milton Keynes.

The Role

As Financial Analyst you will work as part of the finance team and operational/sales team to provide high quality information and data to better understand the operational and financial performance of the Milton Keynes business. Day to day duties will consistof:

- Weekly reporting of financial and operational data
- Report variances to expectations to managers in a timely manner and coordinate actions to investigate and explain deviations and where required put additional reporting in place until deviation is returned to normal.
- Develop and embed new reports using SAP and other tools
- Participate in business meetings that discuss the key financial and non financial metrics and feed this back to other relevant people in the finance teams to assist with their month end and forecasting routines
- Provide support to the Group FC in generating reports on stock, including key components of the stock, obsolescence, ageing and damaged. Identify route causes of issues noted and monitor management action plans to ensure rectification actions are put inplace.
- Ensure appropriate stock control procedures are in place, including adequate use of the SAP PI counting system so it can be relied upon at year end audit.
- Create a working model for the factory which will determine whether the stock level held is appropriate for the site, taking into account sales, production and order levels, industry standards and other reference points.
- On occasions where stock is too high identify with management and implement actions to reduce
- Provide support to the FC to ensure standard costing for all products are accurate and up to date.
- Review reports on price, production, and material price variances on a regular basis to identify and explain variances, understand why they are occurring, determine the impact of them on the month end position and determine if corrective action is neededin the standard costing in SAP.
- Develop a model for reporting on labour vs standard costing that will explain the impact of variation on labour levels and type for different production levels vs standard costing

Your Profile

You will be a Qualified or Studying Accountant ideally from a Manufacturing, Production, Sales and Stock driven business with the ability to analyse data and provide insight to multiple stakeholders across finance and non-finance.
