**Position**: Year 1 Teaching Assistant - 1-to-1 Support (SEND)
**Location**: Blackpool, Lancashire

**Job Type**: Part-time, 27 hours per week
**Working Hours**: Monday to Friday, 08:40 am - 2:30 pm
**Salary**: Competitive rates starting from £11.68 per hour

**Responsibilities**:
We are seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teaching Assistant to provide essential 1-to-1 support for a child with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Your key responsibilities will include:

- **Individualised Support**: Work closely with the child, supporting their specific needs in communication, interaction, and safety awareness.
- **Behaviour Management**: Utilise effective behaviour management skills to address and manage occasional aggressive behaviours, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
- **Educational Support**: Engage the child in Maths activities and games, adapting teaching methods to suit their learning style.
- **Social Communication**: Foster social communication and interaction skills, addressing the child's challenges in responding to their name and interacting with peers.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum grade 4 (C) in Maths or English
- Relevant qualification within childcare or education
- Proven experience in 1-to-1 support with children with SEND
- Strong behaviour management skills
