The role of this job is to control the unloading of goods, ensuring they are correctly received and stored, using the handling equipment in the proper manner and according to the company's Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) plan.

We sell refrigerated and frozen products so you must be prepared to work in cold environment (PPE will be provided). If you're an early bird, then the normal working hours of 6am to 3pm, Monday to Friday may suit you.

Duties include:

- It is the duty of all employees to observe the Company's Customer Care objective, which is the delivery of frozen and chilled foods and ambient goods to customers, with regard to the correct products, right quantities, at the right price and at the right time, with a view to profit.
- To be responsible for the unloading of goods delivered to the Company.
- To check goods against purchase orders.
- To check goods for damage and non-conformance
- To allocate stock and enter location codes onto the computer.
- To structure a continuous and ongoing stock checking system.
- To ensure correct stock rotation.
- To ensure rollers/shelves are full, ready for despatch shift.
- To identify each product and familiarise yourself with weights, descriptions, sizes etc.
- To pick or arrange for picking of orders for customers wishing to collect.
- To record Cold Store temperatures, racking inspections, ladder inspections, Fork Truck checks, Bay/Cold Store cleaning.
- To ensure that the regulations for security are fulfilled as far as is practical, giving consideration to the duties of the Company personnel.
- To pass on delivery notes to Stock Control staff and report any discrepancies.
- To report near dates, stock lines and clearance lines.
- To deal with uplift notes/DVNs/non-conformances.
- To inspect returned goods and isolate unsuitable items.
- To ensure warehouse is clean and tidy at all times.
- To ensure Fork Trucks are on charge and left safe at the end of each shift.
- To ensure that the requirements of the Company's Quality Management Systems are are met and maintained.
- To carry out the duties in accordance with the company's HACCP plan.
- To ensure your own and others' safety by following the directives set out in the Company Health & Safety Policy.
- Conduct appraisals of staff inline with the Company guidelines.
