The People Advisor is a key position within the P&E team delivering a professional advice service to a designated area and supporting the HR Business Partners across our Schools.

Working as part of a proactive, innovative, and responsive P&E team, you will provide pragmatic, creative and business focused People solutions and recommendations along with supporting wider business projects.

This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with time in school Cambridge Schools as well as Head Office.

**Main responsibilities of the role**
Provision of an efficient, effective and customer focused service which supports all aspects of an employee’s relationship and engagement with the business including, but not limited to, recruitment, safeguarding, terms, and conditions of employment, training, and development activities, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, safeguarding standards and business policies.

Building effective working relationships with staff at all levels, providing advice and guidance whilst ensuring a good level of understanding of business needs to identify innovative solutions and recommendations

Effective and timely management of employee relations case work and change management programmes across the wider business such as investigations, hearings, grievances, absence management, performance, restructures. You will be ensuring lead managers are supported and policy standards and legislation are adhered to.

Champion safeguarding practices across the business, ensuring best practice and regulations are implemented and shared.

Contribute to the effective development, and maintenance of our HR Systems iTrent (payroll) and Jobtrain (recruitment), ensuring data is updated accordingly along with ensuring managers and employees are supported in the full utilisation of the systems.

**HR Advising**:
Provides support, advice and guidance to line managers and employees in relation to HR policies and procedures, employee relation issues and organisational change.
Promotes employee engagement, analysing the data from engagement surveys and working with the schools to proactively implement actions.
Champions the completion of good quality annual appraisals and supports any gaps in learning needs.
Ensures central communication is delivered across their business area.
Delivers and supports the business on a wide range of HR projects.
Advising managers on how to deal with difficult conversations and improve on soft skills.
Identify development needs of supervisors and managers
Creating and delivering training on best practises
Monitoring absences levels and assisting with ill health capability
