Head of Desktop Support and Engineering

La Fosse Associates are currently partnered with a client who are looking to hire a Head of Desktop Support and Engineering into their team, on a permanent basis. This role will be paying an annual salary of £100,000 to £110,000 p.a, and be based out oftheir central London office.
The Desktop Support team is a global operation with members across Europe, Asia and the US. It is primarily responsible for the maintenance and support of the client's global desktop and VDI environment. It provides telephone and user-facing support to thetrade floor, VIPs and is heavily involved in daily IT operations including Projects, Procurement and Reporting.
The role will be responsible for the operation and delivery of the organisations IT support function, ensuring a high-quality support experience to the business, and providing efficient and effective solutions to enable the daily functions and technicaloperations of the business as well as leading on service improvement initiatives for the user base in a global environment, whilst owning the relationship with our incumbent service provider.
Essential Experience needed:
- Proven experience managing service focused technical IT infrastructure teams.
- Proven track record in designing & managing global Microsoft Core & Desktop infrastructure
- Proven experience in designing and managing virtual end user computing infrastructure and services.
- Proven experience of designing and implementing robust and appropriate security controls.
- Strong and demonstrable experience managing Desktop services delivered via traditional on premise environments for a global financial services enterprise.
- Strong experience managing the delivery of IT infrastructure solutions within a financial services enterprise.
- Good understanding of authentication technologies including Active Directory and its components.
