The purpose of this internship is to prepare University students for entry into the legal and/ or business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization, focusing particularly on the work of the legal function. The program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully imagine a career with Zebra. You will be positioned for success with training, exposure to different parts of the business, social activities, a professional mentor relationship and development sessions to help you discover your own performance edge

Zebra’s Legal Department supports a publicly traded technology company having approximately 9,000 employees. The Legal Department supports Zebra’s global commercial and government sales activities and other contracting activities, merger & acquisition and venture activities, the development and protection of intellectual property rights, environment, health & safety initiatives, compliance and ethics programs, global trade compliance and other functions throughout Zebra. Additionally, the Legal Department advises a variety of business units and internal business partners on employment related matters, litigation, claims, and other matters.

You will also be eligible to join any of our Inclusion groups such as Women Inclusion Network (WIN), Zebra’s Millenial and Gen Z Inclusion Network (EDGE), Zebra’s of All Abilities (ZOAA), Zebra Equality Alliance LGBTQ+ (ZEAL), Zebras of African Descent Inclusion Network (ZAD) and many more.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work on assigned projects with members of the Legal Department in different functions, such as: commercial contracts, data privacy, compliance, trade compliance, employment, company secretarial and environment
- Preparing written materials and giving presentations to guide lawyers that support specific business units or legal groups
- Develop planning, organizational and leadership skills
- Increase technology knowledge and skills in areas including robotics, software, mobile computing, RFID and self scanning technologies
- Develop team-based work proficiencies
- Develop interpersonal skills to connect with day-to-day business contacts through follow up activities

Qualifications**:Required Qualifications**:

- Current enrollment in an undergraduate law program (second year)
- Have the right to work in the UK
- be able to attend the office location in Bourne End near High Wycombe/ Maidenhead as primary work location but also be prepared to work remotely

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Have boundless curiosity about Zebra and the law
- Have a strong desire to learn and grow and a positive approach to problem solving
- Have a range of interests outside the law or extracurricular experiences
- Be an enthusiastic team player who can collaborate but also work independently
- Be able to keep a sense of humor when working under pressure and be able to adapt your communication skills to different circumstances
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
