The Supply Room is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Youth Mentor to join our team. As a Youth Mentor, you will be responsible for providing guidance, support, and encouragement to students in KS4, helping them navigate the challenges they may face and empowering them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work closely with students in KS4, providing them with emotional support and helping them develop essential life skills, such as resilience, communication, and problem-solving.
- Establish positive relationships with students, building trust and creating a safe and inclusive environment.
- Identify any barriers to learning or personal growth and develop strategies to overcome them.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create individualized support plans tailored to the needs of each student.
- Encourage students to set goals and work towards them, providing ongoing guidance and motivation.
- Monitor and track the progress of students, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
- Organize and facilitate workshops, group activities, and one-on-one sessions to promote personal and academic development.

**Requirements**:

- Relevant qualifications are desirable, but not essential.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably working with children and young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and other stakeholders.
- Empathy, patience, and resilience to support students through challenging situations.
- A proactive and creative approach to problem-solving, with the ability to think outside the box to meet students' unique needs.
- Good organizational and time-management skills to effectively plan and deliver support sessions.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- The flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of students and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Pay Rate:
We offer a competitive pay rate starting at £81.76 per day, with potential for growth based on performance and length of service.

Contract Type:
This is a full-time temporary position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to gain valuable experience.

**Location**:
The role is based in Derby City Centre, with good public transport links available.
