We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Mentor to support and guide young individuals in their personal and educational development. This role is essential in helping young people navigate challenges while providing them with the tools they need to succeed.
Duties
- Provide one-on-one mentoring to young people, focusing on their individual needs and goals.
- Educate young individuals on various life skills, including decision-making, problem-solving, and effective communication.
- Support young people with special educational needs by implementing tailored strategies to enhance their learning experience.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment that promotes trust and open communication.
- Collaborate with parents, educators, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each young person's development.
- Organise and facilitate engaging activities that promote social interaction, teamwork, and personal growth.
- Monitor and document the progress of each mentee, providing feedback and encouragement along the way.
Requirements
- Previous experience in youth work or mentoring is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of special education principles and practices is beneficial.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with young people from diverse backgrounds.
- A genuine passion for educating and supporting young individuals in their personal development.

Shift starts 10.00 am till 10.30 pm

awake hours 7.30am till 10.30am shift finished
Sleep in is an additional £60.00

10.00 pm till 8.00am - £12.50 to £13.50
waking night sifts
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Pay: £12.50-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 37 per week
