with YOU Homelessness Services across Midlothian are recruiting experienced Support Workers to join the team. This is a fast paced, challenging but ultimately rewarding role.

As a Support Worker you will be working with people who are homeless some with addiction problems that might be moving on from homeless accommodation. The people you will be supporting are vulnerable and have complex issues, therefore we are looking for highly motivated staff with excellent communication skills, who can deal with a challenging situation should it arise.

What we need from you:

- Support individuals to be empowered and take control of their own lives.
- A working knowledge of homelessness and the associated issues.
- Have use of your own transport or can travel freely on public transport.
- The ability to work varied shifts on a rota basis including early, mid, late and weekends.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
- Passionate about improving the life of others.
- Relevant social care qualification and training certificates (desirable).

- Up to 38 days paid holiday per year pro rata. (based on a 5-day week)
- Up to 6% Contributory pension scheme.
- Overtime shifts where available.
