**The Opportunity**

We are currently providing support to a young person in the Enfield area that is not currently able to access mainstream education. We are looking specifically for a SEND specialist to support a child in care with play-based learning. The tutor we requirewill need to be a SEN specialist with experience supporting similar needs and managing behaviour.

Support will take place at the students home in Enfield. The young person requires 10 hours of support each week which will take place in 2 hour timeslots from Monday through to Friday and will be ongoing until the young person has a school placement secured.

This role would be best suited to individuals from a Special Educational Needs background, for example Support Workers, Carers, SEN Teaching Assistants, SEN mentors.

**Experience, Training and Qualifications of the SEND Specialist Tutor**:

- Teaching, tutoring, or learning support experience as a minimum
- Strong experience working with individuals with a variety of SEND
- Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
- Have experience working with challenging behaviour and disengaged pupils

**To be eligible for this role, the potential SEND Specialist Tutor must**:

- Hold the right to work in the UK
- Provide two professional child-related references.
