**Job description**:
This is a sector experiencing disruptive change; with new technologies, business models and market entrants challenging the status quo. The UKSA HR team must be flexible, dynamic and able to respond rapidly to ensure recruitment activities for UKSA are managed effectively, promptly and accurately whilst engaging with stakeholders to ensure changes are met.

This is an exciting opportunity for a high-performing HR professional to join the UK Space Agency’s HR team. In this role, you will work closely with the rest of the HR team to support the delivery of an efficient service to the business, supporting the recruitment process, onboarding and day to day HR activities.

We are looking for an individual who is reliable, enthusiastic, proactive, a good communicator, who can work effectively both as part of a team and on their own initiative. You will need to be flexible and able to cope with a variety of tasks, working with internal and external stakeholder. Attention to detail is key, as well as being able to prioritise workload.

**Responsibilities**:
You will be responsible for important areas of the UK Space Agency’s HR activities, including:

- Carrying out recruitment activities, in conjunction with Government Recruitment Service (GRS) on behalf of Line Managers. Uploading vacancies, sift and interview outcomes onto VX system and updating Line Managers of progress. Assisting the HR Manager with onboarding activities; raising the appropriate new starters, payroll activities, IT requests, leavers notifications and changes in contract requests.
- Produce, maintain, and manage staff files.
- Collating information from the shared services system.
- Supporting the HR Ops Team with gathering data. This will also cover gathering data and compiling responses to PQs and FOI requests on an ad hoc basis.
- Ensuring that the HR Centre of Excellence is maintained, managed, and updated on a regular basis date.

**Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience**
- HR experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work with well as part of own team as well as with colleagues in other parts of the organisation.
- Ability to communicate across all levels.
- Ability to analyse management data, report on findings and make recommendations.
- Ability to work proactively to anticipate issues and develop options/solutions to prevent escalation.
- Demonstrate an ability to work under pressure with competing demands.
- Familiarity with MS Office s
