We have an exciting opportunity for a clerical/admin officer to join our client team on Cardiff Road, Newport.
The Temporary Worker will provide administrative support. He or she will follow set procedures and will exercise some independent judgment in carrying out instructions, under general supervision. Examples of work performed will include but not be restrictedto:
- Collating and analysing fairly complex information or data, submitting results in a written report
- Overseeing administrative procedures and processes
- Assisting with budget preparation and control, if required
- Acting as a administrative liaison with internal and / or external sources
- Preparing routine correspondence Typical qualifications and experience:
- Five GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalent (including English Language or equivalent)
- NVQ Business Administration Level 2 (or suitable clerical experience)
- Administrative experience with a good knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Office
- Good communication skills, both oral and writte
Specifics for this role
To process updates to the Patent register in response to requests received from internal and external customers.
Main Duties: (bullet points of responsibilities)
To explain verbally and/or in writing how a decision has been reached in a professional and customer friendly manner. To investigate and respond to gaps, errors and irregularities in information.
To print off the EPO tape report and correct anomalies within 10 working days achieving an accuracy rate of 95%.
Record EPO corrections and pre-grant changes within 10 working days achieving an accuracy rate of 95%.
