The business specialises in servicing the construction, civil engineering and related industries with power tools, accessories, consumables and PPE/ workwear. **Role Introduction**
Frank Howard Tools & Fixings is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Assistant Buyer, based in the Braintree Head Office. Using commercial awareness and negotiation experience, you will be responsible for assisting the central buying team develop the commercial strategy and driving efficiencies across all depots.
**Scope of the Role**
The main purpose of the role is to support the Commercial Director and Buyers, by assisting with buying and negotiating deals with key brand owners and aligning the procurement strategy with the wider group’s vision and mission. The main responsibilities of the job will be assisting the purchase and development of a key product portfolio inline with cost, quantity, research market demand and
evaluate potential opportunities, monitor stock requirements across the group, update the inventory and stock management systems and build relationships with existing and new suppliers. You will also have general administrative activities and be required to work with all other departments to ensure consistency of commercial communication. The position is highly varied and requires you to work in a
dynamic, fast paced environment, adaptability and flexibility is key.
**Key Requirements**
- 1+ years experience in similar role
- Excellent organisational skills and and ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced
environment
- Great interpersonal and networking skills
- Proven track record of meeting targets
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written at all levels
- Strong IT and digital Skills, especially Microsoft Office
**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time
**Salary**: £22,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
