Are you an experienced Transport Manager looking for a role on a new contract?

Here at GXO. we’re looking for a Transport Manager on our new Wilko contract in Worksop. You’ll be responsible for leading a safe and efficient operation as well as helping us achieve cost saving targets through CI initiatives. Being a new position you'llhave the opportunity to make a big impact and build a successful team.

This is predominantly a Monday - Friday role however we do ask for a level of flexibility - this is logistics after all

**What you’ll do on a typical day**:

- Be responsible for site safety planning and execution, ensuring operational service levels are met and exceeded
- Work in collaboration with the network Transport Managers to maximise efficiencies and best practice, including the attraction and retention of drivers, utilisation of equipment across the network
- Lead and successfully implement customer change plans across the site to support operational growth
- Build trusted relationships with internal and external key stakeholders
- Identify, address and where necessary escalate any risks to service delivery or KPI targets to the National Transport Manager or senior operational team

**What you need to succeed at GXO**:

- Significant experience in a transport operational role with strong commercial/business acumen
- Demonstrable record of delivering against targets and KPIs
- International CPC Holder preferred
