Job description

**ESG Advisor - North West England**

Do you want to work for an independent, family owned business spanning five generations, one whose purpose is to enable trade by providing certainty through the global supply chain.

As ESG Advisor you will be tasked to support the development of the businesses strategic approach to the Environment, Social and Governance (ESG).

Your main purpose in the role of ESG Advisor will be to support the development of the businesses global ESG approach and then, with the support of the Executive and Senior Management team, implement that strategy and put in place the framework to monitor its progress.

Working in close quarters with the businesses Compliance, Communications and Commercial teams, you will support the organisations commitment to the environment, social factors and strong and transparent governance.

You will produce ESG reports, assuming lead responsibility in the group and set organisational sustainability targets, developing plans to meet those targets and oversee their delivery. Additionally, you will support the company's philanthropic activities to ensure ESG goals are fulfilled.

Geographical awareness and cultural understanding will play a key role in your success in this position as will a proven ability to adapt to new industries/environments and workplace cultures.

This is a hybrid working role is based in the North West of England, Hybrid working is considered 3 days remote working, 2 days office based.
