Are you ready to make a real difference in a dynamic contract and toll manufacturing and distribution environment? Rakem Group is seeking a passionate and proactive Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor to champion our commitment to excellence across health, safety, and environmental standards.

This is more than a compliance role – it's a strategic position that drives our HSE and ESG Framework forward, shaping the future of our operations and culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead HSE compliance across all sites, aligning with ISO 45001, 14001, and 9001 standards.
  • Develop and maintain risk assessments, COSHH documentation, and safe systems of work.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Deliver engaging toolbox talks, inductions, and targeted training to build a proactive safety culture.
  • Chair the Health & Safety Committee and mentor safety representatives.
  • Collaborate with the Sustainability Lead to track and improve environmental performance.
  • Manage contractor safety, PPE/RPE programs, and emergency preparedness systems.
  • Report monthly HSE performance metrics and contribute to strategic decision-making.

What We're Looking For:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate
     (Diploma or Environmental Diploma desirable).
  • Proven experience in a 
    manufacturing or chemical environment
    .
  • Strong knowledge of 
    UK HSE legislation
     and 
    ISO management systems
    .
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and influencing skills.
  • A strategic thinker with emotional intelligence and a collaborative mindset.
  • Highly organised, analytical, and confident in managing multiple priorities.
