**Administration Officer**:
Job description
Permanent Part Time 15 hours per week.
We are currently looking for an administration officer to join our team.
The main duties of the post;
This is a busy front-line post working directly with members of the public, headteachers, governors and other local authority professionals. You will be responsible for providing general advice and guidance on policies and procedures and will take specific responsibility for organising and managing safeguarding training, along with the administration of issuing of fixed penalty notices and commencing court action against parents who fail to regularly send their child to school. Additionally, you will assist with the delivery of basic safeguarding training to chaperones involved in child performances and the processing of child performance licences. You will work across all the teams within the service on a needs demand basis. If you enjoy a variety of work - this is the job for you.
You will have experience in/of;
The work can be demanding at times, and you will need to be capable of working under pressure, coping with constant changes in priorities. You will need to be capable of planning and organising your work, and of supporting other officers in the team whenever and wherever necessary.
Training and mentoring will be provided; however, the job is so varied this is the type of role where rapid self-learning on-the-job will be required to enable you to succeed.
You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and will have the ability to respond to a wide range of queries, some of a sensitive and personal nature. You will possess sound administrative, office management, record-keeping and ICT skills; and you will be a key day-to-day user of several different databases.
ideally you will have;
4 GCSEs (grade A to C) or equivalent, to include English Language and Maths.
