**The Position - Compliance Officer UK**

The UK Group is currently looking to recruit an ambitious and highly motivated Compliance Analyst to join the UK compliance team to focus on the group’s compliance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other compliance topics.

As a part of a US listed business, the UK Group has a strict structure of controls and reporting, and the applicants need to be used to producing work of a high standard to tight deadlines.

The on-going integration of acquired entities requires a flexible and 'can do’ approach to the challenges that this presents and with this brings a great opportunity to improve processes.

The UK compliance team are part of the wider European compliance team, and the role will include interaction with the European compliance team.
**Job Specification**
Working closely with the European Compliance team, the role will include the following:

- Promote a culture of risk awareness and compliance, proactively engaging with the business to drive best practise
- Provide support to the business by responding to GDPR compliance queries, Data Subject Access Requests, and changes in regulation (desirable but not necessary)
- Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments and manage an Information Asset Register (desirable but not necessary)
- Identify compliance risk and report findings on the Risk Register
- Review, maintain and improve internal controls, policies, and procedures
- Involvement in ad hoc projects as required

**Person Specification**
- Enthusiastic individual that is keen to learn and continue their personal development and encourage positive change across the business
- Very high attention to detail and adherence to processes
- Understanding of the key principles of GDPR (desirable but not necessary)
- Understanding of the PCI-DSS (desirable but not necessary)
- Excellent time-management and organisational skills with ability to prioritise own work to tight deadlines
- Team player, keen to become a part of a growing and dynamic senior finance department
- Ability to build good working relationships with different teams and external consultants
- Ability to compile, analyse and review data to a high level of accuracy
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbally
- A full UK drivers’ licence
