This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with management skills to join an innovative company and be part of a team supporting and enabling the growth of some of the most exciting companies in the country. **Skills and Business Relationship Manager** Hybrid Working** **£30,000 - £35,000 Full Time, Permanent** **Scope and remit** Led by GPC Skills, Growth Works with Skills is the new innovative, demand-led skills service for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. The Skills and Business Relationship Manager is part of a team brought together to broker and support relationships for business across the skills and provider network, enabling them to develop their strategic approach to accessing talent and address skillsgaps and skills shortages. The role, within the Skills and Business Engagement function, provides relationship management and advisory support to employers and is required to liaise and maintain effective working relationships with a range of agencies, employers, providers, networksand other stakeholders. Unlike other skills brokerage services, Growth Works with Skills not only has its own diagnostic tools to engage business, but we are also part of the wider Business Growth Service "Growth Works". You will work collaboratively with _Growth Coaching_, and _Inward Investment_Service_ in the combined authority area to support and enable the growth of some of the most exciting companies in the country. **About you** You will need to be confident in talking to people at all levels and be able to communicate effectively across both skills and commercial organisations - translating for each stakeholder at times. You will use your understanding of the benefits of a strategic approach to recruitment and training to articulate the benefits of training, work experience, apprenticeships and educational engagement to employers. You will want to get to the root of the problems that businesses face and create solutions that have impact. You will proactively support employers by linking them with opportunities and programs, as well as referring them to other places of support. Wherever you identify training or development needs at a business, you’ll then proactively help them to meet those needs by identifying suitable partners and opportunities. This could range from educational programs through to specialist support serviceswho can upskill people in almost any field of business. Naturally, this means you’ll have to develop great relationships with clients and service providers alike. It’s all positive stuff, backed up with solid analysis - but you’ll be expected to be fully proactive in your efforts to help businesses reach theirfull potential. All this is measured through a set of KPIs, so you’ll be great at keeping records, administering your own workload, and providing reports that show the impact you’re having. **About us** GPC Skills is an innovative consulting organisation.
