We are really excited to be going out to advert for two new family therapists to join our expanding team.

The team are supportive and highly systemic in their thinking and practice. You would be supervised and supported by our Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders (CYPEDS) Lead for Systemic & Family Psychotherapy, and working alongside our existing family therapists and systemic practitioners.

We are a supportive and welcoming team, made up of a full MDT and a wealth of experience in eating disorders. This role sits as part of a wide MDT delivering interventions for children and young people (and their families) with eating disorders throughout Cornwall.

To provide a professionally autonomous, high quality, evidence-based systemic assessment and psychotherapy service to children, young people, and families within the Eating Disorders service following the Maudsley model.

To provide highly specialist systemic advice and consultation regarding formulations and treatment to NHS colleagues and external agencies.

To take some responsibility for supervision of trainees, particularly systemic psychotherapists up to Masters’ qualifying level.

To contribute to the CPD training and development of other Cornwall Partnership Trust professionals as agreed with the Service Lead.

To develop, implement and audit services for families and to initiate and participate in future service developments.

We’re an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We deliver community and hospital-based care to improve people’s physical and mental health. We also provide specialist support to people with dementia or a learning disability.

We are a people organisation and people matter to us. As part of the team, you'll help support the health and wellbeing of the people who live and visit this beautiful part of the UK.

Over 4,000 people make up the Trust. This includes doctors, nurses, therapists, plus admin and support staff.

We work in people's homes, in community clinics and bases. Some staff work from one of our 13 community hospitals. Our aspiration is to have great people, provide great care, be a great place to work and a great partner.

Approximately 568,000 people live here. A third of people who live in Cornwall are supported by acute hospital services in Devon. As a result, we also work closely with our partners in Devon. In the summer, and during other holidays lots of people choose to visit the area. This increases the numbers of people who use our services.
