**The Helpdesk Coordinator role**
If you're someone who loves customer service, thrives under pressure, and has strong people management skills, this could be the role for you. Metro Mechanical offers 24/7 reactive coverage, 365 days of the year. Our team of helpdesk operatives respond to urgent call-outs, and help our engineers get where they need to be to fix our customers' emergencies.
**Responsibilities**
- Answering the telephones from engineers, customers, and colleagues
- Advising clients on best course of action for issues
- Loading jobs onto our operating system and client portals
- Allocating the right engineer to the right job
- Helping engineers when they are on site
- Dealing with customer queries
- Closing jobs on the system once they've been successfully completed
**What we would like from you**
- Strong organisational skills.
- Several years office experience
- Presentation skills and attention to detail.
- Computer literate - Word, Excel
- The ability to plan your own work, work on your own initiative and meet deadlines.
- The ability to manage pressure and conflicting demands and prioritise tasks and workload.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Tact, discretion, and respect for confidentiality.
- A pleasant, confident telephone manner.
- Teamwork
- Reliability and honesty.
This is an office-based position, based at our Gravesend HQ, with a 45 hour week, and an hour for lunch. Requirement to be on a callout rota 1 weekend in every 4 after successful training
