**Location**: North West & Lancashire (Hybrid - WFH with travel required)
**About the Company**:
I’m excited to be partnering with a leading care provider committed to creating a positive, inclusive, and thriving environment for both their employees and residents. They are on a mission to revolutionize the care experience and are looking for a passionate and dynamic **Head of People & Culture** to lead their cultural transformation journey and ensure their people are at the heart of everything they do.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who is driven by people, culture, and change. While experience in the care home sector isn’t required, a strong background in people management and culture transformation, particularly from a customer-centric industry like retail, will be key to success in this role.
**Role Overview**:
As the **Head of People & Culture**, you will play a pivotal role in driving a cultural shift across the organization. You’ll lead initiatives that attract, retain, and develop talented people, with a focus on building a high-performance, values-driven culture. You’ll have the autonomy to shape and implement strategies that will foster a positive and engaged workforce, empowering them to provide exceptional care to residents.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Culture Transformation**: Lead and execute culture change initiatives that align people and culture strategies with the company’s mission, vision, and values. Create an environment where employees feel empowered, motivated, and engaged.
- **Leadership Development**: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement leadership programs that enhance the effectiveness of leaders, ensuring they inspire and support their teams.
- **Employee Engagement**: Champion employee engagement initiatives to promote collaboration, recognition, and transparency across all levels of the organization.
- **Talent Attraction & Retention**: Oversee recruitment strategies to attract top talent while improving retention through initiatives that create a positive employee experience and align with the company’s values.
- **Performance Management**: Implement best practices for performance management that drive accountability and continuous development for individuals and teams.
- **HR Strategy & Operations**: Manage key HR functions, including compensation & benefits, employee relations, workforce planning, and compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- **Wellbeing Initiatives**: Lead wellbeing programs that support employee health and work-life balance, creating a supportive, positive working environment.
- **Stakeholder Communication**: Provide guidance to senior leaders on people and culture matters, ensuring effective communication strategies and fostering trust and transparency across the organization.
- **Travel & Flexibility**: This role requires regular travel across the North West & Lancashire to ensure alignment with regional teams and culture.
**Key Qualifications & Experience**:
- Significant experience in leading culture change and people development, preferably within a customer-focused or service-driven industry such as retail.
- A genuine passion for creating inclusive, high-performance work cultures.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with a strong focus on people management and organizational development.
- A deep understanding of employee engagement, leadership development, and talent retention strategies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all organizational levels.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to drive change and deliver results.
- Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment, with regular travel to locations across the North West & Lancashire.
**What’s On Offer**:
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
- The opportunity to play a key role in a company undergoing significant cultural transformation.
- A supportive, collaborative, and empowering working environment.
- Hybrid working arrangement with flexibility to work from home and travel to care home locations.
If you’re an experienced, passionate, and dynamic leader with a strong track record of driving culture change and developing high-performing teams, I’d love to hear from you. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in an organization that values its people and is committed to providing exceptional care.
