Job Title - Master Production Planner
Hours - 40hrs per week, Monday - Friday
Location - Glasgow
Salary - Up to £40k DOE
We’re delighted to be working with a company who have multiple centres of excellence across Europe, providing high precision manufacturing services and they are now looking to add a Master Production Planner to their team in Glasgow.
You will have the experience, skills and drive to be given full autonomy in order to configure new planning systems, use the plan to direct the business and continue to grow in the company.
The Role;
- Support the delivery of the companys overall production plan by developing the production plans and levelled schedules
- Update and maintain job start and completion dates, resource, capacity and load data within the system
- Day-to-day interface for supply planning (raw materials, commercials), to manage change and balance supply and demand
- Create launch plan and manage work in progress
- Regular KPI and metric reporting, identifying risk areas
- Improve routings for simpler planning
- Align the system to develop the optimum plan and scenario
About you;
- Extensive experience with ERP systems
- Experience planning using various different planning tools
- Experience with Factory Master and Orchestrate would be highly advantageous
- Experience in a ‘low volume, high variation’ environment would be advantageous
- A strong understanding of MRP, MLT and scheduling rules
- Accurate and methodical in working practice
- Ability to work well under pressure, manage your own time and deliver against tight deadlines
- Strong analytical skills and decision making ability, a problem solver who can anticipate needs
