Job Description/Responsibilities
- The QHSE Manager together with the Sentinel Administrator, Operations Director, Procurement Manager and H&S Officer are collectively responsible for identifying any shortfalls in the Company’s activities and raising the issues to the Managing Director forremedial action.
- The QHSE Manager has overall responsibility for ensuring that the Company maintains and complies with relevant Industry Standards and other technical documents which are required to allow personnel to work safely
- The QHSE Manager is responsible for maintaining the Management System. He will liaise with the Operations Director, Sentinel Administrator, Contracts Manager, Procurement Manager, Planners and H&S Officer to ensure the system is properly staffed and operatedby competent personnel
- Responsible for reviews of the management system and all associated documentation
- Provide a regular management system report to the Management staff including any changes to the system/legislation or Industry standards applicable to the Company’s scope of activities
- To assess all new Industry related projects to be undertaken by Emeg Group Ltd and must ensure that the necessary control measures have been identified in order for the Company to comply with Mandatory Requirements
- Assist in the production of Construction Phase Plans, Work Package Plans and Task Briefings.
- Recording and investigating accidents and Maintaining the accident register and produce accident frequency statistics and Company KPI’s
- Responsible for notification of any accident or dangerous occurrence to the relevant authorities, management staff and Clients
- Responsible for the management and dissemination of safety related information, documentation and to conduct risk assessments.
- Undertake all the duties allocated by the Managing Director and will undertake all duties required by Industry Standards including fatigue management.
- Conduct internal audits of the operation of the Management System and worksites as required
- Maintain a library of controlled documents including the relevant Industry Standards
- Responsible for the business continuity process.
Have sufficient knowledge and experience to carry out his responsibilities and duties and have the following qualifications and certificates: NEBOSH general/construction certificates, membership of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment(IEMA), Internal and Lead Audit qualified, PTS certificate.
