**The role**

Bright Heart Education’s tuition agency (an employment business) seeks experienced **SEN Tutors with excellent written and spoken English **who can tutor English, Maths, Science, humanities or functional skills - experience working with students with ASC strongly desired. Tutors must be **based in London and / or NE Surrey - preference for S / SW / SE London**.

We strongly prefer tutors with good availability for in-person tutoring (and can offer many hours of tutoring, including during the daytime).

Key qualities we look for in our tutors include:

- Ability to provide engaging and informative lessons that motivate students
- Ability to create bespoke lessons according to the student’s needs
- Caring, patient and empathetic
- Professional and diligent with a strong commitment to safeguarding

Main areas we serve (in-person):

- South West London (Kingston upon Thames, Merton, Richmond upon Thames, Sutton and Wandsworth)
- South London (Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham, Southwark, Greenwich)
- Central London (Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster)
- West London (Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow)
- North West London
- Barking
- Surrey (Epsom & Ewell)

**Benefits of the role**

You will be working as a self-employed, part-time tutor, so you can choose which clients/students you wish to provide tuition to. Based on client demand, we are ideally looking for tutors who are looking to tutor at least 12 hours per week (and have good opportunities for those wishing to tutor many hours each week). Bright Heart provides its tutors with opportunities for professional development, including the potential for an employment contract if of interest.
- A £5 per journey travel contribution (in addition to the advertised pay rate)

- At least 12 months of relevant tutoring and/or teaching experience in the UK
- Excellent spoken and written English
- University qualification or studying towards one and A-levels
- SEN tuition/teaching experience and a passion for working with students with SEN
