DescriptionMake a Real Impact as a SEN Maths and English Tutor.Are you a passionate educator making a difference in the lives of students with SEN needs We are looking for experienced and dedicated tutors. Youll provide personalised 1:1 support with young adult learners in Functional Skills Entry Level 1/KS1 Maths and English. These in-person sessions in Hackney offer the chance to work closely with students helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.This job is in person in the Hackney area.Hours: Up to 6 hours per week Day(s): Monday - Friday Time(s): 2 hour sessions 3 times a week. Between 10am and 2pm Subject and Level: Functional Skills Entry Level 1/KS1 Maths and English Start date: Immediate start Contract Length: end of December 2025Rate of pay: 35phWhat Youll DoProvide tuition that is appropriate for the individuals needs and study levelPlan engaging lessons tailored to the unique needs of the studentProvide targeted support for student with SENAssess barriers to learning and create a positive and supportive learning environmentMonitor progress produce reports and adapt teaching strategies to achieve measurable outcomesMaintaining up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks youre providing subject tuition inRegularly reporting updates to the Tuition Programmes ManagerRequirementsWere looking for someone who has:Experience working with students with SEN in specialist or alternative provisions settings3 years of tutoring / teaching experienceQualified Teacher Status (QTS) or HLTA qualification - preferredAn ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and needs.Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsThe right to be self employed in the UKBenefitsWhat we offerA friendly dynamic team that values collaboration and personal growth.The opportunity to make a difference in the lives of studentsCompetitive hourly rateAbout Tutors GreenOur mission is to provide first-class tuition primarily for disadvantaged students through discounted and pro-bono services across the UK.
