As a **Senior Finance Business Partner (Inside IR35) **your main responsibilities would be:
You will have responsibility across a specific Strategic Programme and Department for financial advice and planning.

You will provide strategic support to the relevant Chief Officer and Strategic Programme Director and related stakeholders for your area of responsibility to help shape and influence plans.

You will manage a small team of Finance Business Partners ensuring the provision of an effective Business Partnering service to a Strategic Programme and Directorate that drives business outcomes through excellent service and strong stakeholder relationships.

You will need to develop a good understanding of the areas of the business that you support and build and maintain strong relationships at a senior level and be highly visible.

You will bring insight and influence to bear through effective advice, presentation, and communication, enabling finance to be considered in strategic, policy, commercial and operational decisions at all key stages, so being at the heart of planning and decision making.

You will provide insightful financial analysis, provide constructive challenge, and ensure that financial governance, control, and alignment is maintained.

Your role is to protect, drive and add value.

You will build trust with decision makers so that your advice is actively sought; the FBP is expected to be a critical friend, giving sound financial advice while challenging existing assumptions.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues, to ensure that good practice is identified, shared, and developed between FBPs, that consistency of approach is adopted and to build and embed financial capability and understanding across the organisation.

You will be respected for your financial knowledge and skill, providing sound advice, and ensuring the business adheres to relevant finance policies.

The role is equally about leadership, relationship, and information management as it is about financial technical skills.
