**Job Purpose**:
The Great Lakes Claims Apprencticeship will be an 18 month placement within the Claims Operations Team in London. This will be an opportunity for an apprentice to embed themselves into the Claims Department and obtain knowledge and skills, whilst gaining a comprehensive understanding of the broader role that claims plays in Insurance and the importance of Quality Assurance within Insurance.

During the 18 months apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to;
- Assist with the production of management information
- Understand the different types of controls that are in place to manage an effective claims department
- Attend various meetings to broaden knowledge of claims operations
- Reporting on trends, control breaches and underperformance
- Be involved in various projects to provide assistance where necessary

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Produce ad hoc and scheduled Management Information
- Assist in delivering analysis on claims performance for both internal and delegated claims handling
- Analyse and report on any breaches of claims controls to ensure adherence
- Assist in the management of all logs within SharePoint, ensuring they are up to date, accurate and followed by all claims staff, where necessary
- Collate data from various teams to include within committee/board/management meetings and reports
- Assist in identifying data issues, and assist in providing solutions to improve data integrity and accuracy
- Follow the internal QA process and framework, which includes reviewing performance against internal SLA’s (eg: audit reports are signed off and sent within set timeframes, peer review is completed on time and minutes are accurant and expedited with actions completed within set time parameters)
- Assist in the reporting of peer review output, providing analysis and feedback in relation to any training, system or other requirements needed to improve the claims service
- Assist in the management of claims audits ensuring QA overlays the timely and accuracy of all audit reports

- Ability to build and maintain both internal and external professional relationships.
- Proficient interpersonal, and written and oral communication skills, in addition to customer service skills.
- MI reporting - Ability to turn data into MI packs with added commentary
- A keen eye for detail and data integrity
- A broad understanding of claims controls and framework
