**About this role**

The Converged Core network is at the heart of BT and supports everything we do. The network underpins major infrastructure, such as the emergency services network and national air traffic services. It supports 70% of the UKs mobile network and 40% of the UK’s broadband network We're working on exciting projects to ensure our network is future proof, meaning we can maintain service through the peaks - namely, video game releases and Amazon football.

The purpose of this role is to co-ordinate the in-life running and evolution of the Converged Core / sub platform (including vendor support).

The role holder coordinates site transformation on a rolling 12 month programme to optimise and compact whilst sustaining growth and product forecast. (Big Build approach), delivers the capacity requirements across the platform estate.

Delivers the work priorities and drives a culture of continuous improvement to speed up and evolve end to end technical introduction process methodology. Adopts and aids development of new systems and technologies to simplify deliveries and site recommendations. Coordinates and drives post capability launch review.

Coordinates and delivers commitments across multiple work-streams; CFUs and platforms through the concept to market framework. Coordinates the scoping and the delivery of new, complex, business impacting network deliveries.

**You'll have the following responsibilities**
- To underpin the delivery of exceptional customer service the role holder will ensure all in life and new requirements are delivered on time and within forecast and budget.
- Responsible for the overall health and performance of the platform, including adherence to reliability, compliance, continuity and security audits.
- Coordinates all infrastructure investment including 3rd party spend in alignment with the wider platform technical strategy and using insight to current and forecasted demand to ensure a maximum return on Capex investment and all risks are mitigated.
- Excellent stakeholder management via regular chairing of forums detailing the status of risks/health and security along with progress on all mitigation initiatives.
- Owns the process and adherence to that process for all change activities on the platform.
- Point of contact / escalation/resolutions for service bid management and capacity / customer issues - managing and contributing to resolutions

**You'll have the following skills & experience**
- Working knowledge of maintaining the platform, including support for technology, products and interfaces with partners, other BT platforms, operations and customer channels. Working level Interface with strategic vendors and security. Co-ordinates roadmaps, delivery plans, capacity management for optimisation and growth.
- Proven record in managing budgeting, forecasting, stakeholder
- Management and vendor relationships
- Comprehensive understanding of network technology, products and service and technology introduction.
- A strong technical background with a knowledge of platform associated processes and end to end system stacks to enable the ability to drive introductions and improvements across all areas of the platform
- Co-ordinates and delivers improvements to platform upgrades to reduce the complexity of infrastructure, whilst ensuring service, support and demand requirements are proactively met using simplified solutions
- Good knowledge of technology project, programme and risk management.

**Essential**
- Technical experience within the domain or a similar domain and exposure to the key vendor equipment (understanding of network architecture / delivery and operations
- Delivery / Platform manager experience
- Commercial and Risk understanding
- Technical experience within the domain or similar and exposure to the vendor equipment
- Delivery / Programme manager experience

**Desirable**
- Prince2 / Scrum Training or other professional delivery management accreditation
- Capacity Management
