A leading and successful UK business specialising in intralogistics, automation and temporary & permanent buildings to a broad range of customers is currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager.

Due to exceeded growth in the business, they require a Business Development Manager to operate the role of sales for Storage Systems and Warehouse Furniture Products - managing existing accounts and developing new clients.

Key responsibilities for the successful Business Development Manager will include:

- Build and grow existing accounts using your industry knowledge and the products and services the business can offer
- Maximise sales in existing accounts
- Gain new business through a large range of products the business can offer the market
- Prepare customer presentations with the support of the team
- Negotiate new deals
- Work with all members of the team to enhance the client's experience
- Own and manage the process of projects / sales from start to completion and then after sales responsibility
- Achieve sales margins and budgets set

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who is a self-starter, self-motivated, and 'not afraid to ask for help person', who will have the opportunity to work in a small, but uniquely positioned business, which can offer huge amountsof knowledge and products to the market enabling the right person to be rewarded for hard work.

Competencies / Preferred skills:

- Strong networker, communication & presentation skills, excellent negotiating, research, prospecting, closing skills
- Has the ability to make decisions
- Solution based thinking is key
- Positive mindset
- CAD / DWG skills would be preferable
- Knowledge of how a warehouse / logistic centre is designed and run efficiently
- Self thinking and ideas type mind
- Awareness of market movements and trends
- Storage Systems understanding (Racking, Mezzanine Floors etc)
- Materials Handling Equipment Knowledge would be a distinct advantage.
