**Head of Procurement**

**The Opportunity**

We are currently seeking a dynamic Head of Procurement to identifying where current indirect costs sit within the business, sectorise them by importance and then devise and implement a procurement strategy with the following at the core:
1) Driving costs to sustainable levels

2) Categorise by importance to the business

3) Mitigating risk

4) Compliance

**The Package**
- £60k-£70k basic
- Bonus
- Company Car or Car Allowance
- Based Coventry with 2 days per week home based, once established
- 35 days holiday per year (including bank holidays)

**The Role of the Head of Procurement**
- Help build a centralised procurement function alongside Finance Director which will replace a decentralised model.
- Design and deliver a procurement function programme with all associated templates and processes required
- Manage supplier tender process
- Develop a Supplier Relationship Management programme
- Partner with key internal stakeholders to create category strategies for immediate, and longer-term benefits
- Work with the business - bringing them on the journey, and offer support and guidance in the new way of working
- Educate the business on procurement best practise
- Set up category management for a range of high importance categories
- Review existing supplier arrangements
- Review spends to identify & drive opportunities for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, and payment term harmonisation
- Benchmark and source new suppliers and subcontractors including supply chain

**The Person**
- Proven experience in a centralised procurement function
- Experience of procuring indirect corporate categories of spend
- Demonstrates professional Procurement & Supply Chain capability.
- Professional certification CIPS/MCIPS desirable, but not essential.
- Strong business acumen.
- Knowledgeable in negotiation and contracting processes, tools and systems.
- Understanding of critical clauses / T&Cs, capable of handling complex supplier relationships.

**Salary**: £60,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
