Database Systems Administrator

RMS Ltd is an innovative Road Surface Treatments contractor with an extremely successful portfolio of clients and projects, as part of our continuous growth we are now looking for Database user developer to be based at our main depot situated in High Legh, Knutsford.
We are looking for a well-established database developer who is looking to secure a position within a well-established business with long term goals. The successful applicant will be responsible for the ongoing developing, function testing, improving, and maintaining both new and existing databases which will help users retrieve data effectively.
You will be responsible for making collaborative decisions about our operational data systems, network arrangements and supplementary data feed sources and can identify and resolve complex issues with internal and external systems.
Other duties will include:
- Working directly, and in conjunction with the company’s management team in controlling numerous operational facilities and company assets.
- Managing the configuration and operation of the Fleet Management Database system.
- Monitor progressive development, alternatives in available system technologies to identify opportunities for upgrading.
- Champion the interface between the development of a database and users with-in the company.
- Work closely with other departments to assist in the production and formulation of reports and analytical data.
- Provide control, guidance and support in the arrangement, integration, processing of external data feed sources and documentation into the company’s internal operational database system.
- Being the point of contact for the management systems suppliers working closely with them to assist with internal troubleshooting and system admin tasks where possible.
- Supporting the daily management of the internal purchase order system procedures, and by monitoring the data using an exisiting internal system
- Monitoring departmental efficiencies, as generated by database system, provide analyses of productive time, departmental employees, staff absences and holidays.
- Recording all data and allocation for the fleet during peak season including hired vehicles and tracking any changes
- Providing collaborative assistance with Capital investment forecasting, procurement, project research support for improvement within various departments and throughout the company, as or when requested by the Directors.
- Other ad hoc Admin tasks where required when assisting the department
Skills required:
- Impressive understanding of development of internal databases
- Proficient on Microsoft packages, Excel, or Microsoft 365 packages
- Ability to analyse data from multiple sources and produce comprehensive reports
- Working to deadlines or within time sensitive situations
- Previous experience developing systems and administration of IT systems
- Ability to build working relationships easily and take direction

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
Schedule:
