Male or Female Personal Assistant/support Worker

Male OR Female Personal Assistant required to assist a young girl with a Neurological and Physical Disability, living in the Cumbernauld area.

You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance in the community including participation in social activities. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:

- Walking and general exercise, assisting with participation in these physical activities.
- Accompany to social activities/art groups/places of interest.
- Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living.

Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.

The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.

**Essentials**:

- **Driver and you will be required to use your own vehicle - mileage allowance will be paid.**
- **Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential**.
- **Being physically fit and fast to be able to run is essential due to potential flight risk.**

**Desirable**:

- **Experience is desired, but not essential as training will be provided.**
- **Pets in the household - you must be comfortable working with a cat in the home.**

**Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)**

Recruiting for 1 position.

Guaranteed permanent position of 3 hours per week.

**Days and times**:
Shifts are flexible: Typically - Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays, afternoon, or evening during term time. This will be discussed at interview.

**Hourly rate**:
£12 per hour.
