Male or Female Personal Care Assistant/support

Male OR Female Personal Care Assistant/Support Worker required to assist a young man with a Physical Disability living in the Blantyre area.
You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance within their home, at day centre and in the community including attending to personal care and participation in social activities. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:
- Attending to all personal care needs (toileting including bowel movements)
- Assisting with medication
- Moving and assisting - pushing manual wheelchair, using manual hoist/tracking hoist
- Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living
Driver essential, you will be required to drive a mobility vehicle.
- The role requires close personal contact with an individual who is extremely vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission. Preference may be given to applicants who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Careful consideration will be given to applicants who can show the vaccination is not suitable for them on reasonable grounds._
Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.
Favourite activities are socialising and days out to the park
Previous Personal Care Assistant/Support Worker experience is essential
The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.
Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
**Hours of Work: 30 hours per week - permanent position**
**Days and times: typically Monday - Friday 10am - 4pm**
**Hourly rate**:
£12.00 per hour
