**Head of Commercial Finance**

**12-15 month FTC**

**Commercial Real Estate**

A FTSE listed Commercial Real Estate business require a senior finance leader to join the team on a long term maternity cover contract.

The business is structured as a Real Estate Investment Trust and manages arguably one of the best, and most valuable, prime Central London portfolios consisting office, retail, leisure, residential and food & beverage.

The Head of Commercial Finance will lead a high performing team responsible for all commercial reporting and preparation of external presentations for investor relations and equity markets.

Demonstrable stakeholder management and team development skills are essential to be successful in this role.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Work closely with the operational teams to prepare management information (actuals, quarterly forecasts and annual budget) for the Senior Executive team
- Oversight of Group rental income, property costs and capital expenditure. Provide timely information to all relevant stakeholders, particularly property and asset management teams, including preparation and review of Board Papers for management approval
- Preparation of going concern analysis and viability assessment for external reporting purposes including liquidity and commitment planning, sensitivities and scenario analysis
- Preparation of strategic financial information for external reporting requirements including annual report and investor presentation
- Liaise with Group Reporting team to ensure that all major financial transactions are accurately reflected in the accounts and forecasts accurately reflect anticipated transactions
- Ad-hoc scenario analysis and involvement in corporate transactions as they arise
- Oversight of Horizon property management software, ensuring maintenance of data accuracy and supervising the delivery of relevant process improvements and system updates.
- Work with Group Reporting team to ensure that systems and related processes are accurately and efficiently reporting net rental income and work towards improvements
- Manage a team of 6 with two direct reports, and support them with their own team management
- Ensure team are engaged, encouraged and meeting deadlines
- Maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders outside of finance team particularly the operational Estate team and the Senior Executive team

**Skills & Experience required**:

- Qualified accountant, minimum 7+ years post qualified (required)
- Previous experience managing a team within a large corporate or listed business (required)
- Previous experience within the property industry (advantage)
- Previous experience with Yardi, MRI Horizon or Agresso (advantage)
