A leading organisation in the UK&I region is seeking a strategic and commercially minded
Head of Commercial Finance & Planning
to lead its FP&A and Commercial Finance team. This senior leadership role is central to driving financial performance, strategic planning, and commercial insight across the business.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing FP&A and Commercial Finance team.
  • Own monthly reporting cycles including P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet analysis.
  • Drive forecasting and budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with group timelines.
  • Lead financial modelling for long-term planning and strategic business cases.
  • Shape and support commercial contracts through robust financial analysis and deal structuring.
  • Partner with Commercial and Operations teams to support growth and profitability.
  • Deliver insightful financial analysis to support decision-making and shareholder value.
  • Support Board reporting and contribute to high-impact strategic projects.

Key Focus Areas (Next 12–24 Months):

  • Enhance monthly management reporting and forecasting accuracy.
  • Lead finance input into strategic reviews and long-term planning.
  • Strengthen business partnering across Commercial and Operations.
  • Drive commercial analysis for new business cases and pricing strategies.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Timely, accurate, and insightful reporting and analysis.
  • High-quality financial modelling with minimal revisions.
  • Clear, actionable insights that influence strategic decisions.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement across the business and finance teams.

Who You'll Work With:

  • CFO and Senior Leadership Team
  • Group Finance and FP&A Teams
  • Commercial and Operational Stakeholders

What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum 8 years' experience in finance
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Proven leadership in FP&A and commercial finance
  • Strong analytical, modelling, shaping commercial contracts and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in a Big 4 firm ( in Transaction Services, Deals, or M&A) is highly advantageous
  • Sector experience in telecoms, construction, data centres, or property is highly desirable
