**Role responsibilities**

This role will be based in Chester working night shift only. This post shall be pivotal in coordinating the delivery of fleet availability requirements of Class 197 units from Chester Depot, Yard and Station to meet the daily train service requirements. This will be achieved by liaising effectively with the key stakeholders including the Fleet Maintenance Controller, Route Controller, Resources Team and CAF Depot Team including co-ordinating directly the Shed Driver Team on shift.

Responsibilities include the following:

- Ensuring all Class 197’s arriving at Chester every evening have a plan for stabling, cleaning, maintenance at the CAF Depot, maintenance at the station, fuelling etc.
- Ensure an optimized plan for morning start is delivered in line with the TFW quality procedures and Fleet Availability targets.
- Monitor the progress of the plan each night and amend as necessary including in the event of disruption or out of course events
- Reporting the performance of all activities each night to provide data for continuous improvements across all the functions involved with Class 197 delivery.

**Who we’re looking for**
- Minimum 2 years’ Operational Railway Experience, preferably on modern traction and rolling stock, and related experience in a “hands on capacity” is desirable.
- Good understanding of Planning, good communicator and capable of leading meetings.
- A sound Knowledge of Microsoft office systems is essential along with good all-round computer literacy.
- Good communications skills are also essential as the position will be the first point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders during each shift. The ability to work well as a team and alone.
