**What does the role of Care Standards & Compliance Educator involve?**
The ability to encourage others and have an excellent understanding of the adult care sector
**Specific Responsibilities**:
1. Deliver knowledge and skills through approved/accredited learning programmes, workshops, and information sessions at differing levels, following a detailed curriculum approach for each programme, whilst maintaining records
2. Work with management to understand the needs of learners, creating and implementing development plans to address both short-term and long-term requirements with a focus on addressing any skills gaps and meeting the needs of our members
3. Provide appropriate information, advice and guidance to learners/managers that relate to further training and education opportunities available to meet their business needs or progression
4. Work collaboratively with member organisation leaders and managers to facilitate driving up quality of care
5. Work collaboratively with the wider Education, Quality & Integration Team in the development of learning programmes with passion and enthusiasm, maintaining high standards of quality, meeting internal and external expectations
6. Maintain own CPD ensuring best practice approaches are passed onto learners with an emphasis on what is required of the locality, this may include keeping up to date with monitoring officers and CQC
7. Keep up to date with developments in the sector, making recommendations for improvements, participating in standardisation and CPD sessions.
We are looking for someone who has experience in evidencing and maintaining organisational standards to meet regulatory and contractual requirements within an adult care setting.
- We are also looking for you to have:_
- Own transport with insurance for business use is essential for this role as travel around Hertfordshire may be required
- Holds Trainer and Assessor qualifications (AET/CAVA or equivalents) is desirable, or prepared to undertake is essential
- Holds an Adult Care NVQ/Diploma qualification at Level 4 or above
- Experience of working within an adult care setting at a deputy or compliance lead level is essential
- Knowledge of expected standards levels within adult care is essential
- Excellent communication and time management skills is essential
