We are seeking a **Learning Disability Support Worker (Full Time 35-40 hours per week)** to join our growing friendly team to provide regular support in Tamworth and some surrounding Staffordshire area as well as to cover periods of annual leave / sickness / training within other services at agreed times, with advance notification given. Although previous relevant experience in care and learning disabilities / Autism, on either a voluntary basis or as a paid employee is preferable, full training and professional development will be provided.

Most important is that you have enthusiasm, drive and the desire to make a difference, as well as to be flexible, patient and able to view situations from a service user’s perspective. Situations can sometimes be difficult and challenging, so you’ll need to be non-judgemental, with a sensitive approach and a good understanding of how to meet complex needs related to learning disability and physical impairment.

Hours of work are generally between the hours of 8am and 5pm, but we do require some flexibility to meet the change is service demands, aswell as the ability to cover some weekends on a rota basis.
