To include revenue and capital monitoring, but with a focus on capital monitoring.

General duties of role, working pattern i.e., hybrid report too etc. Tasks will include:
Providing support (guidance, encouragement, challenge and advice) to Budget Managers during budget review, monthly monitoring, year-end and closure of accounts - helping them to understand the financial information required and processes to be followed. To include revenue and capital monitoring, but with a focus on capital monitoring.

Actively participate in regular meetings with business area to challenge and scrutinise monitoring figures, undertake service analysis to support the year-end position and the Accounts.

Anticipating and identifying key financial issues and risks affecting the business which require attention, resolve issues with Senior Managers and identify mitigating actions to ensure net expenditure is within budget, escalate to Senior Finance Manager and other senior colleagues any business issues not resolved by Service Managers.

Ensuring that the Property income and expenditure account at year end is accurate, all balance sheet items are reconciled; undertaking, before year end, full monthly and quarterly closedowns of the Property area including balance sheet items.

Be an effective liaison point between the business and Finance to ensure completion of all statutory returns.

Work in a collaborative manner with strategic partners.

Deliver robust financial and commercial analysis for business cases including full capture and financial
