**THE GIG**
Based in our Camden HQ, our Creative Lead sits in the Marketing Creative team who drive empowering brand creative, anchored through the lens of the consumer. The team is positioned within the Global Marketing department and is the central hub for globally led marketing assets, artwork and creative guidelines across all consumer touchpoints. The team are key brand guardians within the business, ensuring all creative produced internally, externally and within our regional markets is best-in-class and in line with global direction.
Reporting to the Global Head of Marketing Creative, as our Creative Lead you will set the vision for Dr. Martens’ asset creation, manage a small team of creatives and lead the execution of photography and film content globally. This includes the creative direction and execution of assets across seasonal and evergreen product marketing, culture and brand storytelling content.
The role works collaboratively with various functions across the global business, both centrally and in regional markets around the world, as well as working in close partnership with our lead creative agency.
As our Creative Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Working with your team to produce seasonal sell-in assets (video and still) that bring to life the creative direction of the Product
Design team through a marketing lens.
- Setting the long-term vision for asset creation and contributing to the overarching Global Marketing Creative strategy
- Leading the creative direction of seasonal product marketing, brand storytelling and culture content creative
- Building relationships by working collaboratively regions, being the go-to person for Dr. Martens’ asset creation
- Working at all levels of the business, often influencing stakeholders at Director and Chief level
- Creative responses; inc. Art direction, styling, locations, talent, storyboarding and scamps
- Art direction on set and overseeing photography and image editing, videography and film editing
- Providing brand guidance and feedback on agency produced projects from concept to execution
- Managing a small team of creatives to deliver on functional objectives

**THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART**
Put simply, for this role the key things we’re looking for are:
- A strong portfolio demonstrating proven experience of creative direction, art direction, photography and film creation for a global brand or agency working with similar clients
- A motivational leader who champions the progression and development of their team with prior experience managing other
creatives
- Extensive knowledge of leading industry trends and techniques and an interest in creative innovation
- Expert level of Adobe CC, specifically Premier Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, Photoshop
- Proven experience and the ability to deliver engaging, professional pitches to senior stakeholder
- Excellent understanding of Dr. Martens’ history and culture and genuine interest in consumer brands, fashion, music, and arts
- Highly skilled background in photography and/or videography, including postproduction
