**_Job Title: Smart Systems Lead_** **_Location: Glasgow HQ_** **_Salary: £52,480 - £65,600_** **_Closing Date: Friday 1st September_** **_Help us create a better future, quicker_** Our SP Energy Networks business is responsible for the distribution of electricity to your property via our network of pylons, substations, cables and power lines. We serve 3.5 million homes and businesses across Central & Southern Scotland, Cheshire, Merseyside, North Shropshire and North Wales. **_What you’ll be doing_** - Project management for the implementation of systems and processes to support data management and analytics. This includes the tracking and coordination of investment and supporting process change across the business in order to deliver our smart systems strategy. - Provides decisions and/or arbitrates as the final level of technical responsibility - Provides escalation of technical issues, internally & externally, that are unable to be resolved at team level - Specifically, management of implementation & support of the EIP, SDIF and FOL systems and management of roadmap and budgets and developments. - Stakeholder engagement to promote the use of data management techniques into the wider SPEN business - Lead the scoping, acceptance and testing of new systems to ensure that they integrate with existing systems, provide the appropriate functionality and are fit for future requirements liaising closely with IT/OT/Cyber to ensure the business requirements of SPEN are represented in these processes - Lead the proposal/budget management process for new and existing projects from initial request to final reporting of completion - Support business unit’s implementation plans for new processes that maximise the benefit of data management tools. Track these changes through to implementation to ensure that the business benefit is recorded. - Assist the Smart Systems Manager by taking the lead in vendor management activities - Team leader and line management responsibility for team members driving personal and technical development. **_What you’ll bring_** - Knowledge of the UK electricity market and Networks businesses in particular. - Experience in network design or connections would be beneficial - Experience of smart meter industry in GB or internationally would be beneficial - Experience of managing programmes of work involving a broad range of internal and external stakeholders and suppliers. - Strong influencing skills when working with external and internal parties. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Experience of scoping, specifying, testing and acceptance of new IT/data systems from a business perspective - Experience of data manipulation and analysis techniques - Proven ability to devise solutions to complex problems/challenges and implementing changes associated with them **_What’s in it for you_** As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits.
