Newport City Council has a rare and exciting opportunity to join our HR & Organisational Development Service as a Recruitment and Employee Experience Officer. This exciting and newly developed role will form part of our strategic recruitment area, and you will work alongside our Recruitment and Employee Experience Lead and Engagement Support Officer to support the talent acquisition and recruitment requirements of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and delivering a talent acquisition approach across the organisation that meets the Council’s needs.
- Use professional expertise to assist with designing the Council’s selection and assessment method throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.
- Provide accurate and professional advice to managers and stakeholders regarding talent acquisition and employee experience matters.
- Ensure talent acquisition methods adopted by the Council are reflective of the organisation’s People Plan.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with:

- Professional knowledge and experience of talent acquisition practices and modern recruitment techniques.
- Understanding of employee branding and positioning an organisation as an employer of choice.
- Experience within an internal recruitment or talent acquisition role.
