Newport City Council is looking for a dynamic and strategic Recruitment & Employee Experience Lead to join the HR & OD Service. This recently created role will be key to contributing to the overall success of our organisation by ensuring we attract and retain the best talent while fostering a positive working environment for all our employees.
This opportunity provides the chance to lead a team within the HR & OD Service, allowing for the implementation of innovative strategies that will directly support and influence the Council's workforce and ensuring that we are an employer of choice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop our attraction and recruitment approach, ensuring our employer branding meets the organisation's needs.
- Design and implement a comprehensive talent management approach to support a high-performing and engaged workforce.
- Manage the strategic recruitment team.
- Oversee the benefits package offered to employees, ensuring value for money and maintaining our status as an employer of choice.
- Collaborate with wider HR & OD services to deliver the Council's People Plan and integrate recruitment strategies with broader HR activities.
