Key Duties and responsibilities
- Processing intake & outtake of stock accurately.
- Assist with assembling and replenishment of stock onto sales floor.
- Providing a friendly, helpful and personalised customer experience by being knowledgeable about products and interested in furnishings
- Driving profitable sales through strong product knowledge, effective selling techniques
- Delivering/exceeding all agreed targets
- Ensuring the Outlet is merchandised in accordance with the agreed layout plan and always presented to a high standard, including cleaning and housekeeping
- Implementing and ending sales promotions and displays within defined timeframes
- Spotting, monitoring and reporting stock discrepancies to ensure the stock holding is correct
- Complying with all Company policies and procedures
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the needs of the Outlet
- Processing customer sales and payments
- Accurately process, count, and handle cash transactions, including taking card payment using a PDQ machine
- Responsible for ensuring security of the cash till when working from the front desk in accordance with policy and procedure
- Disassembling sold stock from shop floor when required
- Preparing/wrapping sold goods for delivery when required
- Booking deliveries when required by customer
- Maintain a tidy Outlet, stockroom and recycling waste where appropriate
- Making sure the wrapping area, delivery vehicles and sales floor are kept clean and tidy and all recyclables sorted appropriately.
- Ensure any employees within the wrapping area are working in accordance with SWMS.
- Ensure all health and safety processes are adhered to.

- A genuine interest in furnishings and design
- A desire to help and advise customers in finding the right products for them
- A commitment to providing outstanding customer service
- The drive to sell through clearance stock
- A want to find better ways to do things
- Constant high levels of energy and enthusiasm
- Previous sales experience
- Good motivation and time management to manage you, your day and what you need to do
- Proven communication skills to build rapport and engagement with colleagues and customers
- Shows attention to detail
- Punctual and reliable
- The ability to work as part of a team whilst also being self-motivated
- A good level of physical fitness is required for manual handling, building and moving furniture
